Michael 'Jim' Hutchinson

My gran-dad Jim, half mexican, half cherokee indian. Fresh outta the US Navy with enough money to buy a flathead and raise hell with his buddys. He passed away quite a few years ago before I got into bikes so I never really had the chance to pick his brain or hear any of his stories of a simpler time. Although my grandma has some good ones of him peelin around to bars and getting into trouble, but I'm sure it would be much more fun to hear them from him. You gotta remember this was the 1940's and he was half and half of 2 pretty undesirable races at the time, and proud of it! This got him into a lot of fights... He loved to ride, but hung it up for good in the early 60's when the radio was introduced to the automobile. "People ain't even payin' attention!" Boy, if he could be here now to see iPod docks on Harleys....
